New concept art has revealed additional details about comedian Nate Bargatze’s planned Tennessee theme park project, Nateland. The artwork offers an early look at the proposed attraction, which would include rides, entertainment venues, restaurants, and retail space inside of three themed areas.

The project is a proposed 100-acre destination near Nashville with an estimated cost of about $350 million that is currently in the beginning stages of consumer research and development.

According to reporting from the Wall Street Journal, Bargatze hopes the project will become a regional entertainment destination connected to his comedy brand and Tennessee background. Developers have not announced an exact location for the park.

Early Concept Art Shows Planned Attractions

The newly released concept art for Nate Bargatze’s theme park includes several themed sections. One area would focus on Bargatze’s upbringing in Tennessee, its entrance a callback to a 1990s mall entrance. Another section would draw inspiration from his early years performing comedy in New York City.

The renderings also show large pedestrian areas, roller coasters, water features, and indoor attractions.

Some proposed attractions reference material from Bargatze’s stand-up routines. One ride shown in reports carries the name “Donkey Dive.”

Developers have emphasized that the artwork represents early planning concepts. Specific attractions and layouts could change during future development stages.

Nateland Remains in the Planning Stage

Bargatze is developing the project through Nateland Entertainment. The company partnered with Storyland Studios, a California-based entertainment design firm, during the IAAPA Expo in Orlando in late 2025.

Storyland Studios has experience with themed entertainment projects and employs former designers from Disney, Universal, and Legoland developments.

Company officials said the project remains in the feasibility and planning phase. Developers are currently reviewing potential sites in the Nashville region and studying long-term construction options.

An initial feasibility study was expected to continue through 2026. At this stage, no opening timeline has been announced.

Opryland USA Inspired the Project

Bargatze has repeatedly connected Nateland to his memories of Opryland USA, the former Nashville theme park that closed in 1997. He worked at Opryland as a teenager before beginning his comedy career.

Bargatze told local news channel WSMV, “They took Opryland from me, so I’m going to bring it back.”

The comedian has discussed the park’s influence in interviews and live performances over the years. In interviews with the Wall Street Journal, Bargatze said he wants Nateland to focus on broad entertainment for families and general audiences.

He also said he hopes the attraction could expand tourism opportunities in the Nashville area.

Nate Bargatze’s Career Continues to Grow

The concept art reveal arrives during a period of major growth for Bargatze’s entertainment business. Pollstar data cited by several reports showed that he became one of the highest-grossing touring comedians in the United States during 2025.

His “Big Dumb Eyes” tour reportedly sold more than two million tickets.

Bargatze’s comedy style is clean and observational, focusing on everyday situations, family life, and personal experiences. He delivers material in a calm, understated manner, often using deadpan timing and a conversational tone rather than high-energy performance or sharp punchlines.

Nateland Entertainment has also expanded beyond stand-up comedy into podcasts, live events, television projects, and film production. Bargatze’s upcoming film “The Breadwinner” is currently scheduled for release May 29, 2026.

Many Details Have Not Been Finalized

Despite the release of new concept art, several major parts of Nate Bargatze’s theme park project remain undecided. Developers have not announced final ride selections, land purchases, financing details, or construction dates.

Large entertainment developments often require years of planning, infrastructure work, environmental review, and local approvals before construction begins.

For now, the released artwork provides an early look at what Nateland could become if the project moves forward. Developers have stated that the plans may continue to evolve during the feasibility process.
