Dakota Johnson recently revealed a comment Pedro Pascal once made to her. It’s the kind of comment that would spark backlash against most people in most industries — but it’s Hollywood and it’s Pedro Pascal, so it’s being brushed off with a chuckle.
In a new interview with Elle UK, actress Dakota Johnson revealed that The Mandalorian and Fantastic Four star Pedro Pascal once gave her a rather unexpected piece of career advice. He repoprtedly told her to join a controversial graphic subscription platform known for racy and unconventional content — and make money by “wiggling” a “toe.”

“Pedro Pascal told me that I should have an O***F*** and that I could just like wiggle my toe and make money,” Johnson said. “Should I do that?”
While Dakota Johnson didn’t confirm whether Pedro Pascal was being serious, she admitted she doesn’t know much about the platform — or why it even came up in conversation. When asked about fans who follow such accounts, she confessed, “I don’t know anything about that,” asking if it’s “the place where people go to watch people do weird things? Are O***F*** models hot? Are they different to regular models?”
Though unsure about the platform’s mechanics, Johnson did note, “It sounds interesting. Sounds intriguing.”
‘Materialists’ and Media Passes
The quote emerged as part of a joint promotional push for the duo’s upcoming romantic comedy Materialists, hitting theaters June 13 (seriously, how many movies is this guy in!?). But while the film may be romantic on screen, it’s the off-screen chemistry that’s causing more buzz — and more scrutiny.

In most professional circles, encouraging a female colleague to commodify parts of her body for income would be a major HR red flag. In Hollywood it might still be for some lesser known actors. But in Hollywood for Pedro? It’s just another quirky moment from a “beloved” star. A man that Disney has $2 billion riding on in box office hopes between Avengers: Doomsday and The Mandalorian & Grogu.
A man who seems able to get away with saying just about anything whether he’s cursing out Republicans or allegedly encouraging his co-stars to take specific photos.
And it’s not the only odd Pascal moment with female co-stars that’s flown under the radar recently.

At San Diego Comic Con, cameras caught Pascal standing beside actress Vanessa Kirby where he stroked the back of her arm deliberately until she held his hand as he stared vacantly forward. The moment sparked confusion and some discomfort online, with many questioning the nature of the interaction. Pascal later addressed it by saying he was experiencing anxiety and needed support.
Thankfully, Pedro’s anxiety wasn’t acting up at Cannes this week as he sat beside Joaquin Phoenix…
For some, these repeated behaviors are beginning to form a pattern — one that, oddly enough, still seems to attract media fawning rather than serious reflection.
Hollywood’s Selective Outrage
The fact that Pedro Pascal can publicly tell a female co-star to open a paywall account to “wiggle a toe” for cash and suffer not a single consequence speaks volumes about the entertainment industry’s double standard.

While some actors have seen their careers derailed for little more than sharing a meme or expressing a political view, Pascal’s remarks — and strange public behavior that includes extreme incendiary and profane political commentary — continue to be waved off as charming or relatable.
Gina Carano, for example, was ousted from a major franchise and hasn’t worked for a major studio since sharing a post on social media that called for people to be kind to one another across the political aisle. Meanwhile, Pascal, who once posted a meme comparing modern political groups to the most evil regime in the history of the world, not only remains untouched — he’s constantly celebrated.

Hollywood’s habit of selectively canceling those who stray from the approved narrative, while excusing others with far more questionable behavior, is hardly new. But each time it happens, it becomes a little harder to ignore.
Whether Dakota Johnson ever takes this bizarre Pedro Pascal advice or not is almost irrelevant. The real story is in what Hollywood chooses to tolerate… and what it chooses to destroy.
