Raja Jackson has been arrested nearly a month after his vicious and well-documented assault of a professional wrestler in California.
The son of UFC legend Quinton “Rampage” Jackson was taken into custody nearly a month after a vicious in-ring assault at a KnokX Pro Wrestling show in Los Angeles. The arrest came after several weeks of mounting public pressure, raising questions about why it took so long for authorities to act.
The Attack on “Syko Stu”
On August 23, 2025, Raja Jackson entered the ring during a live wrestling show. Video footage shows him blindsiding wrestler Stuart Smith, known as Syko Stu, slamming him to the mat, and then raining down nearly two dozen unprotected punches to the head and face while Stu lay unconscious. The assault lasted approximately 11 seconds before other performers rushed in to pull him away.

The aftermath was gruesome. Syko Stu revealed the extent of his injuries to MMA Fighting.
“Both jaws broken,” he said. “Upper and lower. Upper maxilla fractured, lip lacerated, seven teeth knocked out, others loose, two black eyes.”
He remained hospitalized for days before finally being released to continue what doctors say will be a long and painful recovery.
What Led Up to the Attack
The violence didn’t erupt out of nowhere. Tensions between the two men flared earlier in the show, after an incident with a beer can.
During the event, Syko Stu allegedly struck Raja Jackson in the head with a beer can. It’s unclear whether this was meant as a joke, part of the show, or something more spontaneous. That moment seemed to cross a line, because cameras caught Syko Stu immediately apologizing.

Wrestling insiders mention that there was supposed to be a controlled response — a “receipt,” meaning a symbolic strike (like a stiff forearm or chest chop) to acknowledge the hit but not escalate things. Raja himself reportedly said the beer can “didn’t even hurt.”
But as fans watching on the Kick livestream reacted and egged him on, the tension built. Raja grew visibly upset, stewing over it until he entered the ring with the plan apparently to issue that “receipt.” However, once inside the ring, there was no choreographed or safe action. He delivered a blistering barrage of more than 20 punches to Syko Stu’s head — even after the wrestler lost consciousness.
Why Did the Raja Jackson Arrest Take So Long?
Despite the incident being caught on video and widely circulated online, authorities did not arrest Raja Jackson until mid-September — nearly a month later. TMZ confirmed he was eventually booked on a felony charge of battery with serious bodily injury and released on $50,000 bail.

This delay has already sparked criticism from fans and industry insiders who question why such a violent and well-documented assault wasn’t met with immediate legal consequences. For now, no official explanation has been given for the weeks-long gap between the attack and the arrest.
Rampage Jackson Cuts Off His Son
The response from Raja’s father, MMA icon Rampage Jackson, has been surprising to many. Far from defending his son, Rampage has made it clear he is appalled. Speaking to TMZ, Rampage didn’t hold back.
“I think he should go to jail, do community service, anger management, therapy,” Jackson said. “That’s not my son. That’s a monster.”

Rampage also confirmed he has not spoken to Raja since the attack.
“He dishonored my name,” Jackson said. “I cut him off. He hasn’t told me the full truth, and he put my other kids in danger. Until he owns up, we got nothing to talk about.”
The former UFC champion went on to stress that while he still loves his son, Raja’s violent actions cannot go unanswered.
“This is not how I raised him,” he said. “I can’t support it. He has to face consequences.”
A Family in Crisis
Reports suggest that Raja initially tried to downplay parts of the assault, even claiming elements of the attack may have been part of the show. Rampage has publicly admitted that his son concealed details and betrayed his trust.

“I spent my whole life building something, and in a few seconds he tore it down. That ain’t right,” Rampage said.
The Road Ahead
With Raja Jackson arrested after weeks of delay, the combat sports world is left asking hard questions. Why did it take so long for the justice system to act when the video evidence was clear and the victim’s injuries severe?

As Syko Stu begins months of recovery, Raja now faces a felony charge, possible prison time, and permanent damage to his reputation. For Rampage, the father-son split highlights the deep fallout of an incident that has blurred the line between staged entertainment and real violence.
For now, Rampage’s stance is firm: his son must face justice — even if that means serving time behind bars.

The fact that it took this long to happen is more than concerning. The police need to stop giving a damn about someone’s skin color or background and arrest people when they commit crimes. It’s not that complicated.
It happened in LA. Even if the LAPD leadership wasn’t useless, the mayor and Newscum were pulling out all the stops to protect Raja. I still expect him to get a pardon because that’s just how “progressives” operate.
