Twas just a week ago that reporting from That Park Place showed The Walt Disney World Resort may soon feature a new tier of Genie+ options for skipping lines. As was reported in that article, Disney may be looking at a $100 per day option for Genie+ that would allow a guest to skip all the lines at a single park for rides that feature a Lightning Lane option. On average, this is likely to provide an additional 6-7 line skips per day depending on the theme park, the crowds and other factors.
Essentially, Disney may be looking at implementing a Disney World program in which a guest can pay $100 to ride every line-skippable attraction without waiting in a single park per day. So, for example, under this potential plan, a guest could pay $100 and thereby receive a Lightning Lane pass for every single attraction at a park of their choosing in a single day. For a family of four, this would be $400 per day, but would eliminate nearly every single queue wait for the day.
Now we’re getting confirmation from WDWNT that the Paris version of this monetization plan is confirmed and launching in the near future:
Paris is calling the new package of the service “Disney Premier Access Ultimate” and stated it will debut this summer. The service also starts at €90 per guest, but could be higher on certain days.
⚠️ Breaking: This summer, Disneyland Paris will introduce “Disney Premier Access Ultimate”, a pack of one-time expedited access to each of the 12 attractions available on the DPA system, starting at €90/day (prices based on attendance). Based on the comments made about the service from That Park Place readers, this may be an option that receives positive feedback. Of course, whenever these sorts of services come out, the ultimate loser in all of this is the family that can’t afford it. How much this might slow down lines in Paris and other Disney Parks that try it would depend on how many families opt into the service. As of now, That Park Place writers still have not heard any plans for Disneyland Resort in Anaheim to implement anything similar.
