A trusted source close to That Park Place has revealed what could be a major flashpoint in Marvel’s upcoming Avengers film. According to our insider, Tatiana Maslany is currently planned to reprise her role as She-Hulk in Avengers: Doomsday—yes, the same divisive version from the Disney+ series along with The Hulk, Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Star Lord. The information comes to us from a third party source and should be treated as rumor. But if true, the backlash may be swift and severe.

This development comes shortly after a cryptic social media exchange between Marvel Studios, Robert Downey Jr., and the Russo Brothers seemed to confirm that more cast announcements are coming. In response to the recent Avengers: Doomsday cast photo reveal, Downey wrote on Instagram, “That’s what u call a deep bench of talent. Actually it’s more like a row, but an extra long one… That must be it.. right?”
Marvel then responded ominously with, “There’s always room for more.”
The Russo Brothers then added, “It’s time…”
And now, it seems that “more” might include the return of She-Hulk—one of the most controversial MCU characters in recent memory.

The She-Hulk series on Disney+ was widely panned for its tone, message-heavy storytelling, and fourth-wall-breaking finale that felt more like a slap in the face than fan service. Maslany’s portrayal wasn’t the primary issue—it was the show’s overt disdain for criticism, its mockery of Marvel fans, and its prioritization of agenda over adventure. One infamous scene even depicted online fans as toxic villainous trolls determined to bring She-Hulk down, a move that alienated rather than entertained.
Following the series’ lukewarm reception and declining viewership, Maslany has continued to antagonize critics in interviews and social media posts. Her outspoken tone and alignment with the show’s more mocking elements only deepened the divide between fans and the franchise.

The rumor of her return is bolstered by a piece of alleged concept art that circulated weeks ago. The artwork appeared to show She-Hulk alongside Hulk and Hulk’s son, Skaar in a medieval setting with a mix of human and Hulks. At the time, the unconfirmed images were dismissed by some as possibly fan-made or speculative, but this new report lends it some credibility.
Our source also named four additional characters said to be appearing in Avengers: Doomsday:
- Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk
- Tom Holland as Spider-Man
- Hugh Jackman as Wolverine
- Chris Pratt as Star-Lord

All four make sense given their popularity and past appearances. Ruffalo has been a mainstay since The Avengers, Holland remains a huge box office draw (for Sony…), and Jackman’s return in Deadpool & Wolverine has reignited fan interest in the X-Men. Pratt’s inclusion also lines up with the leaked concept art, which depicted Star-Lord and Vision—though our source didn’t mention Paul Bettany by name.
Still, of all the characters rumored, it’s the She-Hulk Avengers: Doomsday inclusion that will spark the most outrage. For many fans, She-Hulk represents a low point in the MCU—a series more concerned with mocking its own base than elevating its heroes.

To be clear, this is not an official Marvel announcement, and everything should be viewed as unconfirmed until more details emerge. That said, this isn’t coming out of nowhere. Marvel’s own social media teases and the alignment with prior leaks make this rumor worth paying attention to.
For now, fans are left to speculate—and in the case of She-Hulk, brace themselves. If Marvel truly plans to bring back Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk in Avengers: Doomsday, it could either be an attempt at redemption… or a sign that the studio hasn’t learned the lessons of its recent misfires.

I used to think that the upcoming Superman movie was going to be cluttered with extraneous superhero characters. At this rate Superman will be more like Tom Hanks in Cast Away.
