Bart and Lisa are breaking into Krustyland’s most notorious failed attraction, and the joke lands squarely on Disney’s short-lived Star Wars hotel. It’s rather amazing given that the show’s creators are essentially mocking the company that owns them!
Stills circulating ahead of the airdate show the siblings outside a chain-link fence under a weathered spaceship hotel painted with the attraction’s name. Another puts them on a starship bridge packed with blinking panels, a uniformed cat officer, and a “Wanted: Princess Itchina” poster. A third catches them lighting up a giant “Itchy & Scratchy Universe” timeline.
The Simpsons appears to be taking on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. The Nov. 8 episode, titled “The Kosmic Kruiser,” is described as Bart and Lisa breaking into Krustyland’s “most notorious and failed attraction.” Jenny Nicholson will provide a guest voice. https://t.co/rVNwvkTdWR

The logline matches the vibe: the kids sneak into a shuttered, spaceship-shaped immersive hotel and learn it hasn’t been completely abandoned. Anyone who followed the real Halcyon voyages will recognize the setup without a caption.
Guest voices seal the bit. Jenny Nicholson, the YouTuber behind a sprawling video essay on her own Starcruiser trip, joins the cast, and Jimmi Simpson also guest stars. Putting Nicholson inside a cartoon about a failed space hotel is a

bout as direct as the show gets.
The Galactic Starcruiser opened at Walt Disney World in March 2022 as a two-night immersive stay tied to Hollywood Studios and Galaxy’s Edge. Disney announced the closure in May 2023, and the final voyage sailed that September. The short run still gets dissected by fans, which makes it ripe Simpsons bait. Of course, that’s not to mention that the whole thing was a galactic-sized embarrassment for supporters of the Star Wars sequel trilogy movies.
With The Simpsons and Star Wars under the same corporate roof, the episode reads like the company laughing at one of its own swing-and-miss experiments. That doesn’t soften the gag for guests who paid for a voyage, and it doesn’t need to. The show has roasted Disney parks before.

Season 38, episode 6 is the slot listed across fan guides for “The Kosmic Kruiser.” FOX’s Sunday animation block remains the home base, so the parody sits in the same weekly window Simpsons fans already keep open.
Why the Starcruiser Fit Is So Clean
The real hotel sold a full narrative from check-in to departure, with a Batuu excursion baked into the itinerary. Translating that into a Krustyland wreck gives the writers a spaceship shell, a premium price punchline, and a built-in abandoned-attraction ghost story.
Nicholson’s casting is the Easter egg that travels outside parks circles. Her multi-hour breakdown became a reference point for people who never booked a cabin, so hearing her in the episode extends the joke to viewers who only know Starcruiser from clips.
What the Stills Promise
The bridge set, the vine-covered exterior, and the Itchy & Scratchy lore wall suggest the episode won’t stop at a single establishing gag. Expect the show to bounce between park satire and sibling chaos once Bart and Lisa are inside.
Jimmi Simpson’s involvement points to at least one adult guest role with real dialogue, not just a background voice in the hotel lobby. How those parts mesh with the Starcruiser spoof will be clearer after Nov. 8.
Hollywood Studios still sits next to the real Starcruiser site’s footprint, and Galaxy’s Edge continues as the on-property Star Wars hub. The episode won’t change that, but it does put the failed hotel back in mainstream conversation for a night.
When to Tune In
Set a reminder for Sunday, Nov. 8 on FOX if you want the parody fresh. Clips will spill online afterward, yet the cold open and bridge scenes are the kind of thing that play better in full.
For parks fans, it’s a rare prime-time nod to a Disney experiment that came and went in roughly 18 months of operation. For Simpsons fans, it’s another Krustyland field trip with sharper teeth than a simple roller coaster joke.
