Disney+ will add several new projects connected to the children’s animated series Bluey in March 2026. The additions include a filmed stage production and a collection of short-form episodes.
The new releases expand the amount of Bluey programming available on the streaming platform. They also introduce additional formats beyond the standard animated episodes.
Filmed Stage Production Arrives on Disney+
A recorded version of the touring show Bluey’s Big Play – The Stage Show will debut on Disney+ on March 16, 2026.
The stage production adapts the animated television series for live theater audiences. Performers operate large puppets to portray characters from the show. The production also uses stage sets and music to recreate the world of the series.

The story for the stage show was written by Bluey creator Joe Brumm. Composer Joff Bush, who writes music for the television series, also contributed music for the theatrical production.
The show has toured internationally since its debut. Productions have appeared across Australia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Asia, South Africa, Europe, and North America.
The Disney+ release allows audiences to watch the theatrical production in a filmed format.
Short “Minisodes” Planned for Disney+
Disney+ will also release a collection of short episodes known as “Bluey Minisodes.” The streaming service plans to add ten of these shorts on May 20, 2026.
Each minisode runs one to three minutes, generally. The shorts focus on small moments involving Bluey, Bingo, and their family.

The minisodes expand on the everyday situations and games that appear in the main series. The shorter format allows each story to center on a single joke or activity.
Disney previously introduced Bluey minisodes through short-form content tied to the series. Some have appeared online and on television platforms connected to Disney’s children’s programming.
New Disney Parks Stage Experience
Disney has also announced a separate live entertainment experience tied to the series. The production, titled “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!,” will debut at Disneyland Park on March 22, 2026.
