Two Cast Members, Two Interrupted Proposals — Read the Disney Parks Statement

It was one of the most bizarre cast member clips we’ve ever seen. That’s saying something considering Disneyland in California had almost the same situation last year. Seriously, what is going on with cast members attempting to ruin proposals? Obviously the vast, vast majority of proposals at Disney Parks go as intended but two sabotages from cast members at two different parks is quite odd.

I’m not sure what rule is in place that is making these workers think they’re supposed to ruin a proposal. Even in the situation of a proposal happening on a stage for a moment… seriously, it’s a proposal. Let it finish in the next thirty seconds and the audience applaud. It’s a huge moment in two people’s life. Yet that was what happened again in Disneyland Paris:

The good news in this situation is that Disney has recognized this was not cool. The company has released a statement recognizing it didn’t go the way it was supposed to… plus they’re going to work to make it right with the couple. Now that’s a much better ending than the first situation in California! Good for Disney recognizing this needed addressing in the right way. If we find out what they did for the couple, we’ll definitely let you know. In the meantime, it may be wise to let a cast member know if you plan to propose at a Disney Park. That way nobody interrupts your very big moment.

“We regret how this was handled,” a Disney spokesperson told Newsweek. “We have apologized to the couple involved and offered to make it right.”
