A U.S. Copyright Office Public Records document confirms numerous characters and the actors that will portray them for the upcoming Deadpool and Wolverine film.

After listing off the main cast that includes Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine as well as Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, the document also confirms that Emma Corrin will play Cassandra Nova and Jennifer Garner will reprise her role as Elektra.
Along with these casting confirmations, there’s also a brief synopsis that states, “In Marvel Studios Deadpool & Wolverine, Wade Wilson is confronted by the TVA, which pulls him from a seemingly quiet life and results in Deadpool being unleashed.

Scooper CanWeGetSomeToast claimed Cassandra Nova would appear in the film back in August 2023 and that she would be portrayed by Emma Corrin.
He wrote, “I can confirm that Emma Corrin will be portraying Cassandra Nova in #Deadpool3.”

For those unfamiliar with Cassandra Nova, the character was created by Grant Morrison and Frank Quietly and first appeared in New X-Men #114 back in 2001.
In New X-Men #126 it’s revealed she’s a mummudrai of Charles Xavier. She’s described as a bodiless parasite that was born without true flesh or substance. She then copied Charles’ cells in an attempt to construct a body and gained access to his latent mutant functions. Xavier killed her in the womb and she was stillborn. However, she didn’t die. She clung to a sewer wall for forty years until she was strong enough to walk.
She has made it her life’s mission to destroy Xavier and the X-Men and has gone to great lengths in order to obtain it including manipulating the Shi’ar Empire to genocide all mutants on Earth. It’s likely she will play an antagonist in Deadpool and Wolverine.
