Universal Studios Japan has announced a new overnight event as part of Halloween Horror Nights 2026. The experience, called Halloween Horror Nights: All Night, will take place on September 25 and run from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the following morning. Unlike the park’s regular Halloween festivities, the overnight event is limited to guests who are at least 18 years old.

A Separate Ticketed Event

Halloween Horror Nights: All Night requires its own admission ticket. The standard All Night Pass allows guests to enter Universal Studios Japan beginning at 3:00 p.m. on September 25. The park is also offering several ticket packages that include Express Pass access for participating attractions and entertainment.

According to Universal Studios Japan, ticket sales will begin with an advance lottery through Lawson Ticket. General sales will take place only if tickets remain after the lottery concludes.

Exclusive Overnight Entertainment

Universal Studios Japan said the overnight event will feature many of the experiences associated with Halloween Horror Nights, along with entertainment created specifically for the all-night program.

Guests can expect the return of the park’s roaming Street Zombies, which transform sections of the park into themed scare zones after dark.

The park will also present a special anniversary edition of Zombie de Dance. This year’s performance features a medley of songs from previous Halloween Horror Nights seasons to recognize the event’s 15th anniversary at Universal Studios Japan.

Safety Warnings and Participation Requirements

Universal Studios Japan has issued several warnings for guests attending Halloween Horror Nights 2026. The park advises visitors “uncomfortable with grotesque imagery” should not attend as the event may “may cause fear, disgust, distress, or excessive stress.”

One of the new attractions is Lights Out: Nightmare Isolation. The R18 attraction will also be available during Halloween Horror Nights: All Night, where it is scheduled as an overnight experience from 3:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. Participation requires guests to sign a waiver before entering, and an additional ticket is required. Guests are warned that they will be in a room by themselves, and that they will be sprayed with a liquid.

Additionally, participants in Lights Out: Nightmare Isolation must agree to confidentiality terms that prohibit sharing details about the experience through word of mouth, online posts, or social media.

Costume Guidelines and Visitor Conduct

Universal Studios Japan has also released Halloween costume and conduct guidelines for the 2026 season.

The park permits many Halloween costumes but prohibits outfits or behavior that may create safety issues or interfere with park operations. Costumes that violate public standards or prevent staff from identifying guests when required may not be permitted.

Guests are also asked not to run, intentionally disturb performers, or frighten other visitors in ways that affect safety. Universal Studios Japan said staff members may take action if visitors do not follow event rules.

These guidelines apply during Halloween Horror Nights: All Night as well as other Halloween season activities.

A New Format for Universal Studios Japan Halloween Horror Nights 2026

Halloween Horror Nights: All Night adds a new overnight format to Universal Studios Japan’s Halloween Horror Nights 2026. The event separates itself from the regular Halloween season schedule by extending operations overnight and restricting attendance to adult guests.

The 2026 Halloween Horror Nights season also marks the 15th anniversary of the event at Universal Studios Japan. The park’s lineup combines returning elements, franchise-based attractions, and new experiences created for the anniversary year.
