The cost of going to Walt Disney World is going up. Yesterday, the parks and hotels saw a significant increase in the costs for food items and beverages. It seems that nearly everything a guest would like to do has a fee associated with it. Even parking at a hotel has a fee! The once free FastPass system is now gone, replaced with a less helpful paid service that gives you about one-third of the benefit while costing families upwards of another hundred dollars per day.
Now The Walt Disney Company has responded to these complaints in a statement provided to USA Today:
Whether guests are seeking value or looking to indulge, there is something for everyone. The starting price of a one-day theme park ticket has not increased since 2018. We offer a date-based pricing model that offers a variety of price points to meet the needs of our guests and we also introduce special offers from time to time to help guests save.
As Disney World has reportedly seen a decrease in theme park reservations for the spring, they are now offering a much cheaper ticket… but only for Florida residents willing to come on weekdays.
