Disney fans who cannot travel to Anaheim will still be able to watch several of D23’s biggest presentations from home.
Disney has announced that a selection of panels and showcases from D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event will stream globally on Disney+. The biennial convention will take place from August 14 through August 16 at the Anaheim Convention Center and nearby venues.

The company has offered limited D23 livestreams on Disney+ and other platforms in the past. However, those broadcasts primarily featured smaller stage presentations, behind-the-scenes interviews, and highlights from select panels. This year’s announcement signals a shift from supplementary clips to complete presentations. It also aligns with Disney’s broader strategy of using its streaming platforms as centralized hubs for fan engagement.

For fans accustomed to learning about D23’s biggest reveals through social media posts and shaky cellphone footage, the expanded coverage should provide a more immediate and polished alternative. It also gives Disney greater control over how those announcements reach viewers.
D23 Livestream Schedule Begins Friday
The livestream schedule begins Friday, August 14, with Beauty and the Beast: A Tale as Old as Time 35th Anniversary Celebration. The panel will air at 11 a.m. PT/2 p.m. ET.
Saturday’s coverage will begin with the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 panel at 3:30 p.m. PT/6:30 p.m. ET. Cast members are expected to discuss the Disney+ series’ next chapter, which will adapt Rick Riordan’s fourth novel, The Battle of the Labyrinth.
The Disney Rewind Encore Concert will follow at 6:30 p.m. PT/9:30 p.m. ET.
Disney will conclude the evening with Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase at 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET. The presentation is expected to feature news about the company’s theme parks, cruise ships, resorts, and other destinations.
Disney+ Reveals Its Sunday D23 Schedule
Sunday’s coverage will begin with Disney Worldbuilders at 10:15 a.m. PT/1:15 p.m. ET.
The panel will bring together several of the company’s most influential creative leaders, including Walt Disney Animation Studios chief creative officer Jared Bush, Pixar chief creative officer Pete Docter, Jon Favreau, Lucasfilm chief creative officer Dave Filoni, and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. Filmmaker Leslie Iwerks will moderate the discussion.
Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration will also arrive on Disney+ on Sunday. Unlike most of the announced panels, the concert will be recorded during its performance at Disneyland Resort before becoming available to subscribers.

The weekend will conclude with the 2026 Disney Legends Awards Ceremony. This year’s inductees include Anne Hathaway, Dwayne Johnson, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Jerry Bruckheimer. Ryan Seacrest will host the event. The prerecorded presentation will begin streaming at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET.
A Disney+ subscription will be required to watch the coverage.
Not Every Major Panel Will Be Streamed
Although Disney’s decision gives fans greater access to the convention, the announced schedule does not include every major D23 presentation.

The company has confirmed only seven programs for Disney+, including two prerecorded events. Fans hoping to watch other movie, television, animation, or gaming panels may still need to rely on official announcements, social media posts, and footage released after the presentations.
Nevertheless, livestreaming the Disney Experiences showcase and a discussion featuring Feige, Filoni, Favreau, Docter, and Bush represents a significant expansion of D23’s reach. Fans may not receive the complete convention experience from their couches, but Disney+ will give them a front-row seat to several of the weekend’s most anticipated events.
