Concept art for a new Minecraft-themed attraction has been released, offering an early look at a planned theme park development in the United Kingdom. The project, known as “Minecraft World,” is scheduled to open in 2027 at Chessington World of Adventures.
The attraction is being developed through a partnership between Mojang Studios and Merlin Entertainments. The collaboration was first announced during the Minecraft Live broadcast in 2023. The investment for the project is currently at $70 million.

Minecraft World will allow friends and families to play, explore and craft together on a truly epic scale. Working closely together with Mojang Studios we are meticulously creating an authentic world that the global community of Minecraft fans will want to immerse themselves in and experience the game in a whole new way.
The agreement between Merlin and Mojang includes plans to develop multiple attractions. The United Kingdom site is the first confirmed location. Additional sites have been discussed but not officially detailed.

The released concept images present a stylized environment based on Minecraft’s visual design. Large geometric structures and cubic terrain dominate the layouts. Pathways and buildings reflect the game’s signature block format.
