Actor Jonathan Majors appears to be taking his first major step back into the film industry, with reports confirming that he’s working with conservative outlet The Daily Wire on a new action project filming in South Carolina.
According to a new report from Deadline, the Creed III and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania actor has begun shooting an untitled action movie produced by The Daily Wire and Bonfire Legend. The project marks Majors’ first film production in roughly four years following the legal fallout that significantly derailed his previously fast-rising career.
Action Throwback In Development
The upcoming film is being directed by Kyle Rankin, who previously worked with The Daily Wire on Run Hide Fight. Rankin also wrote the screenplay. While the title and full plot details remain under wraps, the report describes the movie as being in the vein of classic 1980s and 1990s action films such as Red Dawn and Toy Soldiers, focusing on young protagonists forced to band together against invading enemies.

Majors’ Career Reset Continues
Majors was once viewed as one of Hollywood’s most promising rising stars following breakout roles in Lovecraft Country, Creed III, and his high-profile turn as Kang The Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, his career momentum came to a sudden halt in 2023 after he was found guilty of assaulting his former girlfriend.

In the aftermath, Majors was dropped from multiple studio projects and largely disappeared from major Hollywood productions. This new film represents one of the clearest signs yet that the actor is attempting to rebuild his screen presence. But this time, he’s doing it far from the liberal center of Hollywood.
Deadline also noted that Majors remains attached to star in the supernatural revenge thriller Merciless, which was first announced in 2024.
The Daily Wire’s Growing Film Strategy
The involvement of The Daily Wire is notable. The conservative media company has been steadily expanding its entertainment division in recent years, positioning itself as an alternative production pipeline outside the traditional studio system.

The outlet has previously backed projects featuring performers whose mainstream opportunities diminished after being “canceled” by Hollywood, including roles for Armie Hammer and Gina Carano. The company’s most ambitious recent effort was the fantasy television series The Pendragon Cycle.
This latest Jonathan Majors Daily Wire collaboration appears to continue that strategy, pairing the company with a recognizable Hollywood name seeking a career reset.

What Comes Next
Whether this project successfully reestablishes Majors in the broader film marketplace remains to be seen. While the actor still has recognized talent and name value, the path back to major studio tentpoles may prove challenging.

For now, however, production is officially underway — and the industry will be watching closely to see whether this Jonathan Majors Daily Wire team-up marks the beginning of a sustained comeback or simply a one-off return to the screen.

Correction. Miscegenating woman beater teams with obvious Happy Merchant to continue the subversion of American culture.
The best the Daily Wire can come up with is a rejected woke clown from Disney. Pathetic.
