Nick Frost, best known for his work in Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, is set to portray Rubeus Hagrid in HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter reboot. However, he insists it was no mere choice on the part of the casting directors.

In an interview with The Observer, he claimed to have “manifested” the role by writing “Hagrid” 5,000 times, essentially treating the casting process like a magical vision board.
