The Walt Disney Company is once again making headlines in Florida politics. According to newly released campaign finance records, Disney Experiences contributed $100,000 to former U.S. Representative Stephanie Murphy’s campaign for Orange County mayor, marking what is believed to be the company’s largest-ever donation to a local political candidate.
For decades, Shades of Green Resort at Walt Disney World has been an oasis for military members and their families. Now, changes at Disney World are resulting in significantly decreased service to those families. The Polynesian Resort, The Grand Floridian, The...
So now we know. For some time now, Disney/Lucasfilm have been whistling past the graveyard, giving fans of Star Wars just enough hope to hang on, praying that somehow the sequel trilogy would be retconned (or at least written around.) A decision should've been made...
It's not much of a confidence-booster to see that Indiana Jones 5 has its likes and dislikes completely disabled by Lucasfilm. This is very different than most trailers and may point to preemptive work to hide backlash. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny has...
It's so funny to see Kathleen Kennedy pushing her full agenda as she prepares to exit the studio. No, she won't be making any big deal about it at Star Wars Celebration. But she will be throwing everything and the kitchen sink at The Force Is Female. Star Girls...
It seems clear that Disney is on an all-out PR offensive to try to win back the hearts and minds of Floridians. While that may not have gone so well in the shareholders' meeting, you can't say they're not trying. A recent blog post on the Disney Parks blog...
Well, I've never seen anything like it. Robert Iger stepped into the Disney Company Shareholder Meeting following an excellent intro video. That's when a fury of moral and political questions arose that absolutely knocked the CEO off his seat. I've heard it...
There is a huge amount riding on the success of Secret Invastion for Disney+. The streaming-exclusive mini-series starring Samuel L. Jackson may be an indicator of Marvel's strength or weakness very soon. We're potentially down one main villain with the recent...
Given that The Mandalorian Season 3 was not off to a great start after the first episode, and took a nosedive after the third, this is not looking good for what was Disney's flagship streaming show. At the beginning of Disney+ there was one show that drove...
Watching people lose their jobs, and even having to be the one determining terminations, is never fun. Read, without commentary, the following message we have received from someone who says this is what a Disney executive sent to an entire department. I know...
Something strange was going on last week as we waited for Nielsen numbers that never materialized. For the first time we can recall, the ratings were kept private. Thankfully, we have them and we're sharing them. It was a horrific week for Disney+ in terms of...
It's one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen out of a corporation. The Walt Disney Company's influence over a dissolved special district caused members of that board, in a last-ditch effort, to attempt giving Disney its governmental powers. The online...
The man who sold Marvel to Disney is now gone as Disney includes Ike Perlmutter in the list of individuals saying goodbye due to job cuts. It is an incredible thing to see. The man who once said Kevin Feige should be let go is now, himself, being let go by...
