It’s not secret that the gaming industry has become inundated with companies that solely exist to push DEI and “woke” values to a new generation of gamers. We’ve seen this over and over again from Sweet Baby Inc. to Black Girl Gamers and beyond. YouTubers MasterofTheTDS and WritingRaven have exposed one such company, a Dutch firm called Games 4Diversity, for pushing a culturally-divisive game featuring a magical drag display to children.

The massive bomb Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which brought the antics of narrative design firm Sweet Baby Inc. into the light, has hit a new low, both in terms of failure and pricing. The Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Digital Deluxe Edition, originally priced at $100, is on currently on the Epic Games store for just five bucks.

If Keighley’s filing with the US patent office succeeds, he’ll effectively own the term “game awards.” This is an incredibly generic term used by many smaller award shows run by independent creators. Keighley is the largest voice in the gaming award show scene, with his suit and tie star-studded event taking place every year on YouTube, backed by the Triple A gaming industry.

Geoff Keighley’s The Game Awards announced nominations today on a YouTube livestream and it wasn’t what the public expected.

Most assumed that the tenth iteration of Keighley’s annual event, which is typically driven by corporate interests and the legacy games journalism elites, would celebrate failed “woke” titles like Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Concord, Dustborn, and Star Wars: Outlaws. However, those games received very little attention while fan favorites like Black Myth Wukong and Astrobot ruled the day.
