Could Trump Tariffs Delay MuppetVision 3D Closing? No Construction Walls Up Yet for Monsters Inc. Attraction

Could Trump Tariffs Delay MuppetVision 3D Closing? No Construction Walls Up Yet for Monsters Inc. Attraction

A curious development is unfolding at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Despite Walt Disney World’s previous statement that construction walls would go up around the Muppets Courtyard before the end of March, no such progress has materialized as of early April. The project in question? A controversial new Monsters, Inc.-themed land that’s set to cause the closing of MuppetVision 3D, Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano, and PizzeRizzo.

Bob Iger Warns Disney Employees of Fallout From Trump Tariffs as Company Faces New Economic Headwinds

Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger is sounding the alarm about the potential consequences of newly implemented tariffs from President Donald Trump’s administration. During a surprise appearance at ABC News’ daily editorial meeting, Iger offered candid and unfiltered remarks about the likely fallout from what the White House is calling “Liberation Day” tariffs—a sweeping policy that imposes a 10% blanket tariff on all imports, with even steeper levies on major trading partners.

Fire Erupts at Disneyland Parking Structure Damaging Multiple Vehicles

A fire broke out Friday morning at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, damaging multiple vehicles and temporarily halting operations at one of the resort’s major parking facilities.

According to officials, the blaze began just before 10 a.m. PT on the fifth floor of the Pixar Pals Parking Structure, a multi-level garage located on the northwest edge of the resort. The Anaheim Fire Department responded quickly to reports of a vehicle fire, but not before the flames had already begun spreading to adjacent cars.

Disney World and Disneyland Skip Most Easter Food Items Inside the Parks in 2025: Drinks, Eats and Desserts Go to Resorts and Disney Springs

Something peculiar is happening at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort when it comes to Easter celebrations. For whatever reason, the company has decided to offer only a Thumper-themed popcorn bucket inside the parks as the sole culinary offering for the holiday. That’s bizarre if you’ve ever paid attention to the huge number of food items often associated with any day of note. Disney typically loves adding seasonal and holiday food items at the parks since they drive news articles, publicity, attendance and more. But for Easter in 2025, there’s just Thumper with an Easter Egg in the parks.

Disney Will Open Both Water Parks at the Same Time This Summer Amid Epic Universe Pressure From Universal

For the first time since 2019, Walt Disney World will operate all six of its parks simultaneously this summer—including both water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. This move, effective from May 21 through September 7, 2025, is already being interpreted as a strategic countermove to Universal Orlando’s forthcoming mega-expansion: Epic Universe.

BREAKING: Massive Fire Breaks Out in EPCOT at France Pavilion in Walt Disney World, Adding to Park’s Mounting Safety Concerns

New EPCOT Lounge in Spaceship Earth Changes Course to Exclude Families as Walt Disney World Continues to Court ‘DINK’ Disney Adults

It seems like Disney is once again turning its back on the families who built its empire in favor of the DINK (Dual Income No Kids) crowd and so-called Disney Adults. The latest evidence? EPCOT’s brand-new GEO-82 Spaceship Earth lounge, which is making headlines not for family-friendly offerings, but for being an exclusive, adults-only experience.

First, Do No Harm—The Bare Minimum Oath All Disney Imagineers SHOULD Take But No Longer Do, An Editorial by LW Ghost

I’ve spent the last hour or so listening to some wonderful music from the past—not the Mozart kind of past, but the EPCOT past, and it made me think more than just warm, nostalgic, and happy thoughts of good times back in those yester-decades called the 1980’s which, I know, many of you were not blessed to be around in.

Former Imagineer Proposes Alternate Plan to Save Rivers of America—Proves Disney Could ‘Have It All’ Without Destroying Tom Sawyer Island

Former Walt Disney Imagineering Senior VP Eddie Sotto has once again challenged Disney’s controversial decision to bulldoze the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island at Magic Kingdom. But this time, he isn’t just criticizing—he’s offering a fully imagined alternative that would preserve the park’s history while still allowing Disney to build its planned Cars and Villains expansions.

Walt Disney World has long been a place of nostalgia, where memories are made that will last a lifetime, where generations have enjoyed the classic attractions that make up its rich history. But Disney’s latest announcements at SXSW 2025 confirm what many fans have feared—some of the most beloved elements of Disney World like Rivers of America and MuppetVision 3D are being erased to make way for new, modern IP-driven experiences.
