‘War of the Worlds’ (2025) Is Officially One of the Worst 100 Films of All Time

Amazon’s “War of the Worlds” (2025) is an officially certified flop. Currently sitting at #88 on Rotten Tomatoes’ “100 Worst Movies of All Time,” this adaptation earned a shockingly rare—but well-deserved—0% Tomatometer score based on over 20 critical reviews. While that alone should be cause for alarm, the film’s staggering failures in script, direction, and respect for its source material make it clear this placement vastly underrepresents just how deep the cinematic crater it has dug truly is.

Review: Ice Cube’s ‘War of the Worlds’ Is an Affront to H.G. Wells—An Adaptation Without Comprehension

War of the Worlds (2025), the latest and perhaps most baffling adaptation of H.G. Wells’ enduring sci-fi novel, is neither a revival nor an evolution. It’s a clinical, creatively bankrupt exercise in screen-life storytelling that somehow manages to insult not just its source material, but the intelligence of its audience as well. Now, with Frankenstein set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival before its November Netflix debut, we’re getting a closer look at a project del Toro calls his “bucket list” film.

Warner Bros. Animation has unveiled the first full trailer and poster for Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires, and it’s clear this isn’t just another version of the Dark Knight. Rather, the animated film is rooted in the violent clash between Mesoamerican civilizations and European explorers. However, the trailer has proven deeply unpopular with fans, as Aztec Batman YouTube dislikes have exploded in response to these cultural changes to classic DC characters.

Sara Sampaio Took One Thousand Selfies for ‘Superman’ and Somehow Made Them Matter

When early trailers for James Gunn’s Superman teased Sara Sampaio, as Eve Teschmacher, snapping selfies during a Metropolis attack, audiences rolled their eyes. “What is she even doing in this movie?” became a refrain online. But now that the film has arrived, many of those same critics are calling her the unexpected MVP. And yes, those selfies ended up saving the day.
